Terms of sale
Last updated: May 2026
These terms govern your purchase of digital books from Anomaly Mellow at anomalymellow.com. They are short on purpose. If anything is unclear, email hello@anomalymellow.com.
1. Who we are
Anomaly Mellow is a small publishing studio operated from the United Kingdom. We sell short books as digital downloads.
2. What you are buying
You are buying a personal-use licence to read, store, and print the digital book file(s) you pay for. You are not buying redistribution rights, resale rights, or rights to translate, adapt, or publish the work.
We deliver the book by email as PDF and ePub, immediately after payment is confirmed by PayPal (usually within one minute).
3. Consent to immediate delivery
By ticking the consent box at checkout, you ask us to deliver the book immediately and acknowledge that you waive your right to cancel under Regulation 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. We log this consent against your order. See the refund policy for the voluntary refund terms we operate in addition.
4. Price and payment
Prices are shown in GBP and include any UK VAT where applicable. We are currently not VAT-registered (small-business threshold), so no VAT is added. Payment is handled by PayPal under PayPal's terms.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- resell, redistribute, share, upload, or republish the book or any substantial part of it;
- strip our DRM-free files of their copyright notice and re-publish under your name;
- use the book as training data for an AI model or text-generation system;
- attempt to defraud us (chargeback fraud, fake disputes, etc.).
Brief quotations for review, criticism, or academic purposes are fine and covered by section 30 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
6. Liability
We accept liability for direct loss caused by our negligence, capped at the price you paid for the book. We do not accept liability for indirect loss, loss of profit, or loss arising because you acted on something written in the book. The book is opinion and argument. It is not professional advice.
7. Medical disclaimer
Our books may discuss attention, well-being, or mental health in general terms. Nothing we publish is medical advice. If you are experiencing persistent low mood, anxiety, or attention difficulties, speak to a qualified clinician.
8. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our refund policy. Short version: we'll refund you for reasonable reasons within 14 days, no argument.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where statute reserves jurisdiction elsewhere for consumers.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought.
